The Grossglockner High Alpine Road (in German Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße) is the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria. It connects Bruck in the state of Salzburg with Heiligenblut in Carinthia via Fuscher Törl and Hochtor Pass at 2,504 m (8,215 ft). The road is named after the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain.
No road has turns as elegant, an incline as pleasant and views as grand: riding a motorbike on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road certainly is a very special experience.
The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is a “deluxe tour” for motorcyclists: 48 km of pure bliss up to an altitude of over 2,500 m, 36 sleek turns and numerous extras for bikers make this motorbike route from Salzburg to Carinthia and vice versa a grand experience.
